All students in the MSSI program will have an MSSI Account set up for them during new student orientation. While the username will be the same as your JHED ID, MSSI accounts are maintained on a separate directory server for security reasons.

MSSI accounts are used to log into the following resources:
- MSSI General-Use Workstations
- FTK Workstations
- MSSI WiFi Network
- MSSI VPN
- MSSI Lab Printers
- MSSI Network Resources
NOTE: Some resources may require you to prefix your username with the MSSI-LAB domain name. For example, if your username is jsmith1, you would use MSSI-LAB\jsmith1 instead.
Activating Your Account
Before your account can be activated, you must fill out the Rules of Use for the MSSI Lab and General-Use Computers Form. Completion of this form will not automatically activate your account, so please expect up to 1 business day for your account to be activated. Please note that this may take longer during the first week of classes.
Password Resets
Password Expiration
If your password has expired and needs to be reset, you can do so by physically accessing one of the MSSI General-Use Workstations. You will not be able to do this remotely.
Forgotten Password
If you've forgotten your password, please send an email from your university email address to support@isi.jhu.edu to have it reset.
