About

ISI maintains a private VPN for students to be able to access the MSSI lab remotely. You will need a valid MSSI Account in order to connect.

Connecting

In order to connect to the VPN, students will need OpenVPN software configured:

Troubleshooting

Connection Confirmation

If you can open a browser and access https://meerkat.mssi-lab.isi.jhu.edu, you will know you've gotten the VPN configured correctly. You do not need to log in to this page. Simply accessing it is proof enough that you're connected.

Additional Settings

If the server does not do this automatically for you, you may need to configure a couple of options in the VPN.

  • Search Domain: mssi-lab.isi.jhu.edu
  • Default Route: 192.168.200.1
  • DNS1: 192.168.200.10
  • DNS2: 192.168.200.15
