About
ISI maintains a private VPN for students to be able to access the MSSI lab remotely. You will need a valid MSSI Account in order to connect.
Connecting
In order to connect to the VPN, students will need OpenVPN software configured:
- Windows users can use the 64-bit all-in-one installer.
- MacOS users can use Viscosity for 30 days free. (Configuration Files)
- Linux users (and advanced Windows/MacOS users) can use OpenVPN with the provided configuration.
Troubleshooting
Connection Confirmation
If you can open a browser and access https://meerkat.mssi-lab.isi.jhu.edu, you will know you've gotten the VPN configured correctly. You do not need to log in to this page. Simply accessing it is proof enough that you're connected.
