The MSSI Lab Network is the primary network used in the MSSI Lab. It is a 10Gigabit network configured outside of the JHU firewall to allow MSSI students to do their research without affecting the rest of the university. Because of this, some network resources normally available on JHU networks may not be available.

This network is available to students using their own devices either via WiFi, the VPN, or any free port available on the switches in the lab.

All MSSI General-Use Workstations and FTK Workstations are connected to this network by default.

Services

sitatunga.mssi-lab.isi.jhu.edu

Sitatunga is the primary file server on the MSSI network. By default, all data stored in your home directory on the MSSI General-Use Computers will be saved here. It also contains a large number of shared folders used by students and faculty for classes and capstone projects.

Any device on the MSSI network can access Sitatunga with proper authentication using an MSSI Lab Account.

steam.mssi-lab.isi.jhu.edu

Steam is the primary network license server for FTK and IDA Pro.
