About

This network is designed to interact with systems in the MSSI-Lab and is strictly for use by ISI students.

  • Location: Malone Hall 316 and 356
  • ESSID: MSSI-LAB
  • Supported Protocols: 802.11N/B/G/A/AC
  • Authentication: WPA2 Enterprise; 802.1x RADIUS PEAP/MSCHAPV2

Features

Here's some things you can do on the MSSI-LAB wifi that you can't do on the Hopkins wifi:

  • Connect to SITATUNGA, the MSSI shared storage server.
  • Connect to STEAM, the MSSI license server for FTK and IDA Pro.
  • Access hacking resources!
    • The Hopkins network blocks access to certain websites related to network security or hacking. You don't have to worry about any filters on this network.
  • Connect directly to internal research and coursework VMs.
  • Access to the MSSI Lab Printer!

Connecting

To connect, look for the "MSSI-LAB" ESSID on the 3rd floor of Malone Hall. Use your MSSI Lab username and password.

Note: You will need to have filled out the AUP and logged into an MSSI Lab system before you will be allowed to connect.

Please keep in mind that while this and other ISI networks give you much more freedom than JHU, you are still bound by the terms and conditions set in the ISI Rules of Use for the MSSI Lab and General-Use Computers as well as local, state and/or federal laws and JHU's Computing Ethics Policy.
