HDMI Source Not Displaying on Projector
There is an input switch located underneath the podium monitor that is used by the Crestron system to switch between a laptop, the desktop PC, and the document viewer. This device is sensitive and can sometimes have issues if the cabled are moved around too much. If you notice that you are unable to display your laptop screen on the projector, use the following procedure:
- Press the "Power Off" button on the A/V controller. After a few seconds, all devices--including the projector--should turn off.
- Press the "Power On" button on the A/V controller. You should hear the projector beep as it turns on.
- Ensure your device is connected to the HDMI cable on the podium.
- Press the "HDMI" button on the A/V controller.
- If the button light refuses to turn red, look beneath the A/V controller to find the input switching device. This is a small, unlabeled box with 5 LEDs on it (2 of which should be lit) with "PWR", "AUTO", "INPUT", and "SETUP" on it. Reach behind this device and ensure all cables are securely connected to the device. If a disconnected cable was the cause of the issue, you should see "INPUT" light #2 illuminate and your screen displayed on the projector.
- If the "INPUT" light #2 is orange, press the button beneath the LED. It should turn green and your screen should be displayed on the projector.
Crestron System
The systems in this room are managed by a Crestron A/V Controller located behind the podium PC monitor in the front of the room. There is a controller that allows users of the room to manage the projector and speakers.
